Who can play in Menace Academy?
Boys and girls in the U11-U19 age group each year are eligible to play in the Academy.  We are looking for dedicated and commited soccer players who are passionate about the game and want to improve and develop themseleves as players and people.

What does it cost to play in the Menace Academy?
U11-U14 Players: $1,220 annual fee (covers everything for fall 2017 - winter 2018 - spring 2018)
U15-U19 Players: $870 fall only or $1,020 fall and winter
These amounts do not include the uniform but do include everything else (tournaments, coaching expenses, etc...)

Is there financial assistance available?
Yes, the Menace offers financial aid for those families who qualify. You will need to fill out a financial aid application, along with providing a copy of your 2016 tax return (for proof of income) when turning in your application.  We do ask that you turn in your financial aid application ahead of bid dates, so this way we are able to provide a financial aid estimate with your bid to help each family make an informed decision on whether to accept or decline their bid.

What is the time commitment to play?
During the fall and spring seasons, players can expect 3 practices per week, along with weekend games and tournaments.  Generally, the fall season runs from mid-August through the end of October and the spring season runs mid-March through mid-June.  During the winter (indoor) season, players can expect 1-2 practices/games per week.  Indoor training generally takes December through mid-March.  Indoor training fees are included for U11-U14 as part of the annual fee and U15-U19 players have the option of adding indoor training for an extra $150.

How much travel is involved?
It depends on the age group and team your player is participating on.  Generally, most teams will participate in at least one out-of-town tournament per season and have some league games that require travel.

Why are there two field locations?  How do I know where to go?
Due to the size of our Academy, we have two dedicated field locations for team practices.  After tryouts, we will determine our team numbers based on gender and age group and assign teams fields accordingly.  Generally you can expect boys teams to practice at Aliber (63rd and Grand) and girls teams to practice in Grimes (fields on SE 11th Street).  There are exceptions to this and we do form multiple teams in age groups.

Who are the coaches?
You can visit our Coaches and Staff page for a full list of coaches and what age groups they coach.

How do I join a team?
Annual tryouts are held in June for our U11-U19 teams.  For more details on annual tryouts, click here.  If you are interested in joining a team mid-year, please contact Director of Coaching, Tomas Boltnar.
